About me: Like most author-illustrators, I have had my nose buried in one book or another from the second I learned to read — and I started dreaming of creating my own books about a minute later. I studied both writing and art at Brown University and as a visiting student at the Rhode Island School of Design.

My illustration credits include the picture book Saturdays are Special (PJ Library); cover and interior illustrations for Two for Joy (Candlewick Press); Love Your Heart (Thomas Nelson Press); My Secret Bully (Tricycle Press/Penguin Random House), and my artwork was included in the anthology Oregon Reads Aloud, published by West Margin Press. 

I'm a long-time member of SCBWI and I have been developing picture book manuscripts as a member of 12x12. I live with my wife, son, and pup Mochi (world’s best super mutt!) in Portland, Oregon.
